Adoption Panel

The Adoption Panel carries out a rigorous quality assurance function. It promotes good practice, consistency of approach and fairness in all aspects of adoption.

The Adoption Panel makes a recommendation on the suitability of prospective adoptive applicants to the Agency Decision Maker.

The Agency Decision Maker (ADM) is the person who formally decides to approve prospective adoptive applicants based on the Adoption Panel recommendations.

Adoption Routes’ Adoption Panel includes a Chairperson, professionals in adoption, adopters, adoptees, a medical advisor and representatives from the Agencies Board.

There is also a Panel Adviser.
